Zofa goes Art Basel Miami

Just a few weeks after opening our first US showroom in New York, Dedon made a name for itself in Miami when ZOFA completed the social events surrounding Art Basel Miami Beach.

Each year during this momentous event the world of art collecting gathers in Miami for the fairs and to visit the private collections, the most talked about of which is the Rubell Family Foundation. This year Jennifer Rubell exhibited “Just Right”, an interactive food installation, which helped important members of the art community start their day off “right” with the perfect bowl of porridge in a setting reminiscent of the cherished fairytale, Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Her brother, Jason Rubell, exhibited his very earliest art acquisitions in Time Capsule, Age 13 to 21: The Contemporary Art Collection of Jason Rubell, which was first curated as part of his college thesis in 1991!

Dedon happily partnered with the Rubell Family Collection to create the “Outdoor Living Room”. Effortlessly lending itself to the space, ZOFA provided art enthusiasts and famous faces a comfortable place in the sculpture garden to socialize, eat their porridge, nap, snuggle, and just plain relax. And with Nobu and Illy café as our neighboring sponsors, it was no wonder the combination made the sculpture garden a hot spot of the week!

ZOFA mingled even further when Lanvin and the Rubells hosted an A-List dinner at the foundation, including the likes of Alber Elbaz, Artistic Director of the world’s oldest Parisian fashion house, and equally dazzling guests all gathering to support budding young artists.
All in all, it was an exhilarating week in Miami for the world of art and fashion, and ZOFA “sat” in the middle of it all! And, it looks as though they will be happy to have us back again next year.
