Creating Atmosphere Around the World

The day through Rainer's lenseThe day through Rainer's lense

No trip to Kenya’s Rift Valley is complete without a proper sun-downer picnic amongst herds of zebra, impalas, and a few giraffe. The perfect tree was located, somehow, with amazing shade and no tse-tse flies and dust. Three trucks appeared hauling several Maasai warriors, 15 DEDON crew, 1 PANAMA table, PANAMA chairs, and a dozen white SEASHELL chairs (Rouven, our marketing manager, had the rather twisted idea of balancing one up in the high branches for a treacherous photo op).

We sipped Dawa cocktails (a delicious concoction of vodka, honey and fresh lime), South African wine, local Tusker beer and watched the day fade into the mountains. When night fell Lena, our dedicated Viennese camera woman, turned to Anthony and asked what many of us were thinking now: "What was keeping the lions, who were in the bushes nearby, from devouring us?" “Nothing,” was Anthony’s reply. So we packed up and called it a night.
