A chair without legs, FEDRO represents a groundbreaking new concept in seating. Ergonomic in design, it balances on two narrow skids, allowing you to rock back and forth as you please, using your legs and feet to control the movement. Lightweight, portable, stackable and supremely comfortable, FEDRO is ideal for lounging around the house, tanning by the pool, in the grass, on the beach or just about anywhere you care to take it. Conceived by the noted Milanese fashion, textile and accessories designer Lorenza Bozzoli, FEDRO was inspired by - and named after - her son, who would balance in front of the TV on the seat of an old chair, its legs removed, while playing video games. The multi-talented Bozzoli, who had never designed furniture before ("except for myself," she says), worked closely with her old friend Nicola Rapetti, DEDON's Director of Design, to find just the right ergonomics for FEDRO. She's looking forward to using the chair to sit in the grass, playing cards with friends; her son, meanwhile, hopes to have several FEDROs in the TV room for gaming with his mates. The chair's birdlike form inspired its color schemes, all based on tropical birds of Latin American - the Flamingo, Colibri and Quetzal. FEDRO comes with a handle at the back, for easy carrying, and a comfy cushion for the head.

If you are born and raised in Milan, one of the world’s design capitals, and still live and work here in your own studio at Foro Buonaparte – what else would you do than dedicating your live to design? At least this is what Italian designer Lorenza Bozzoli did. After finishing her studies at the “Brera Academy of Fine Arts”, she started her career in fashion design. From 1985 she worked as a freelance fashion designer for labels such as Fiorucci, Basile, Plein Sud, Sergio Rossi, Camper and many others. Almost ten years later, from 1996, Lorenza found her way into the area of industrial design and ever since worked for international design companies such as Viceversa, Alessi, Moooi, Dilmos – and recently also for DEDON!
