DEDON has always believed in design as a bridge between worlds, where nature meets innovation, tradition meets modernity, and craftsmanship meets technology. Since 1990, this belief has shaped every collection, with outdoor spaces transformed into settings for human connection and meaningful moments.
The 2026 collections reflect this philosophy through the eyes of their designers. Each piece is born from human experience and refined through DEDON’s mastery of fiber and dedication to exceptional craftsmanship.
MYMI
Designed by GamFratesi
For Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi, inspiration often comes from watching life unfold naturally. Parisian café culture, where small tables and varied seating arrangements foster both lively conversation and moments of solitude, became the starting point for MYMI.
After their first collaboration with DEDON, the designers returned with a deeper understanding of the brand’s fiber and weaving traditions. Rather than reinventing, they refined, exploring new expressions within a familiar language.
To define MYMI’s color palette, GamFratesi turned to the natural world, drawing hues from layers of soil, vegetation, flowers, water, and sky. The collection leans toward soft, organic tones, staying true to the duo’s signature aesthetic, while introducing bolder hues that reflect DEDON’s vibrant spirit.
As GamFratesi describes, “Working with DEDON Fiber is a truly beautiful process, as the brand offers an incredible range of colors – not just in the palette, but also in the surface finishes.”
MYMI’s woven details and soft contours bring warmth and structure without dominating a space. It adapts effortlessly, whether placed in a café setting or arranged more freely in a private garden, creating a sense of comfort that feels both refined and playful.
MDEAR
Designed by Sebastian Herkner
In an era where indoor and outdoor spaces are increasingly interconnected, DEDON introduces a new category of modular lounging, one that values innovation, adaptability, and a sensory experience. With MDEAR, Sebastian Herkner set out to create modular seating that felt organic and sculptural rather than geometric and architectural. He looked to nature for guidance.
“To me, the outdoors means nature and passion,” Herkner states. “The collection doesn’t formally set itself apart but rather enters into a dialogue with nature – the curve of leaves, the softness of dunes, the sway of waves.”
Drawing its name from the word ‘endear,’ or ‘to captivate or cherish’, MDEAR is composed of organic elements that can stand alone or come together, forming relaxed seating landscapes that evolve over time within any space. As Herkner explains, “MDEAR is my idea of organic islands for the outdoors which can be combined into various shapes due to their modularity.”
Even its weaving blends familiarity with innovation. By enlarging the well-known MBRACE fiber pattern and playing with density and openness, Herkner created a dynamic visual rhythm that feels both contemporary and rooted in craftsmanship.
SOLYD
Designed by Martin Hoss
SOLYD began with a simple but powerful idea: the table as a place for lasting moments. Designer Martin Hoss, an industrial designer with a background in boat design, was inspired by historic work tables once central to traditional rural life and meant to last generations. Crafted from carefully selected teak, SOLYD reflects this legacy through material honesty and meticulous workmanship, where durability and beauty are inseparable.
Hoss translates this enduring character into a refined, modern design that balances strength and elegance. The table’s generous teak surface, defined by its rich grain, warmth, and substantial presence, invites people to share meals, conversations, and stories that unfold naturally. Here, craftsmanship remains a quiet but constant presence, reinforcing the idea that the most meaningful design supports life rather than directing it.
As Hoss explains, “The design reflects a sense of longevity and storytelling, creating a centerpiece for shared moments.”
CIRQL NU Bistro Table
Designed by Werner Aisslinger
The CIRQL NU bistro table combines striking and unique design with everyday functionality. Drawing inspiration from traditional African outdoor chairs once crafted around oil drums, its semi-transparent weave creates an open pattern that plays beautifully with light and shadow.
At the collection’s core is DEDON’s groundbreaking ‘Invert’ fiber technology, an innovation that fuses two distinct colors and fiber types into a single strand through a co-extrusion process. This durable innovation delivers stunning colorways with diverse textures and geometric patterns, transforming the piece into an ever-changing experience that responds to its environment throughout the day.
As designer Werner Aisslinger explains, “DEDON combines technology and production processes with a huge emphasis on ergonomics and long life cycles.”
