About the ICONIC Awards: By introducing the ICONIC AWARDS: Interior Innovation competition, the German Design Council has provided a unique platform for architects and building developers to network with the design industry. The awards recognize outstanding innovations in nine product categories, singling out the “Winner”, “Selection” and “Best of Best”. An independent jury of experts selects the ICONIC AWARDS: Interior Innovation winners. The jury is composed of designer, trade and media representatives.

Just a few weeks after their launch, two of DEDON’s new collections for 2016 have been singled out in the prestigious ICONIC AWARD: INTERIOR INNOVATION competition.
DEDON’s new TIGMI collection by Jean-Marie Massaud was successful in the “Winner” category. Massaud’s concept merges sofa and shelter, creating a supremely comfortable piece of microarchitecture with a brand-new aesthetic.
The name “TIGMI” comes from a Berber word which can mean both “house” and “shadow”. With this design, Jean-Marie Massaud has created a unique combination of sofa and shelter that exudes cosiness and communality, comfort and convenience. It represents the next generation of outdoor furniture by DEDON, which is all about redefining the way we experience life outdoors.
With its unique interpretation of barefoot luxury, DEDON’s new MBRACE lounger collection by Sebastian Herkner took the prize in the “Best of Best” category. The successful combination of woven seating and solid teak base represents an innovative first for the DEDON portfolio. The stunning MBRACE collection comprises lounge chair, wing chair, rocking chair and footstool. For DEDON, MBRACE’s success at the ICONIC AWARDS: Interior Innovation provides a great start to an exciting new year.
