California Dreaming x DEDON

Casual but classy, comfortable furniture for indoor and outdoor spaces and materials that can withstand almost everything. The foundation of our designs is our sustainable and long-lasting DEDON fiber. Apropos long-lasting: we curated our favorite spots in L.A. and we are sure they will leave lasting impressions, too.

Hello from Pacific Design Center’s Westweek 2017, the place to be for designers, architects, and influencers. By our side: Sebastian Herkner. After founding his design studio in 2006, he has won a number of renowned design awards – for example, the ICONIC Award 2016 in the category 'Innovation' for the DEDON collection MBRACE. During this year’s Westweek, international design reporter Amy Devers met up with Herkner to talk all things design.

Warhol, Lichtenstein and Koons in Downtown LA. THE BROAD is a private art museum displaying around 2000 pieces from artists such as Warhol, Damien Hirst and Ed Ruscha, stemming from the private collection of billionaire Eli Broad. Equipped with one of the biggest budgets in all of Los Angeles’ museums, it has an impressive permanent exhibition on display.

EAT Charlie Chaplin’s former office space. We were not only charmed by the gothic-style vaulted arches of the French Eatery RÉPUBLIQUE, but also their daily specials, in-house production and delicious ingredients. If you want to enjoy life the French way from the comfort of your own home, look no further than the DEDON collection TIBBO, designed by the duo Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby.

THE NOW, for all those who want slow down the sustainable way. Luxury massages inspired by the Coqui-Coqui Hotel in Tulum, Mexico. You can also find ultimate relaxation and be in touch with nature in our iconic DEDON collection NESTREST

What was once upon a time one of Marilyn Monroe’s favorite spots, has become a home away from home following its makeover by interior design extraordinaire Kelly Wearstler in 2016: the AVALON HOTEL in Beverly Hills. Many rooms are equipped with kitchenettes and their own patios, mid-century style. Absolute highlight and focal point is the iconic figure-eight pool.

Since its opening in October 2016, CATCH has been the it-spot for celebrities like Kendall Jenner, David Beckham, Brie Larson, Taylor Hill, Cindy Crawford and many more. The restaurant and its rooftop could be mistaken for a nightclub but that’s in line with the menu: a lot of seafood and small bites to share, like Ceviche, seafood towers and Mahi Mahi tacos. Last but not least, their one-of-a-kind flower and plant arrangements are a must-see. In case we put you in the mood for arranging some flowers yourself, we recommend the DEDON accessory collection DALA.
