At DEDON, we are committed to providing the highest level of transparency regarding the composition of our products. This includes our commitment to social responsibility as it relates to the safety of our employees and consumers under a California law commonly known as Proposition 65. Proposition 65—or “Prop 65” for short—requires businesses to include a warning label when a product contains quantifiable amounts of certain chemicals that could cause cancer or reproductive harm. However, many of the chemicals found on the Proposition 65 list are common in household items that can be found within an arms-length at any time.
A few examples of where Proposition 65 warnings may be found include on prepackaged food and beverages, jewelry, electric cords, and furniture.
Included on the Proposition 65 list are nickel and aluminum, which are components or byproducts in many of DEDON’s products. It is because of our dedication to transparency and social responsibility that we have chosen to label each of our products with a Proposition 65 warning.
